  • The National Equine Identification & Traceability (NEIT) System has outlined specific criteria that should they be met gives certain people the ability be ‘Approved Implanters’ and begin the registgration process of horses into NEIT.

    An ‘Approved Implanter’ must be a ‘Practising - Registered’ Veterinarian in New Zealand. New Zealand Vet Clinics can also be registered and hold an organisational log in.

  • To become an ‘Approved Implanter’ you must be a ‘Practising - Registered’ Veterinarian in New Zealand. NZ Vet Clinics can also be registered and hold an organisational log in.

  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an identity verification method in which a user must supply at least 2 pieces of evidence, such as their password and a temporary passcode (sent to or shown in a secure location), to prove their identity.

    MFA is becoming more and more common across NZ and the world! You're likely to have already experienced using some form of MFA in your day to day, whether that is accessing your bank account, making a payment on a website, or logging into your email account.

    MFA is required for all ‘Approved Implanters’ when accessing their NEIT account.

  • Yes. You’re welcome to just have a single organisational login such as admin@vetcclinic.co.nz however, you’ll want to review the MFA options before deciding if one login, or multiple, will suit your teams access best.

  • You can create a new registration for a horse by heading to the NEIT website and logging in. From here you can begin a registration if you are an approved user.

    It is our preference that all registrations are started online and not using a paper form, as paper forms have many disadvantages including data entry mistakes, delays in registration, not to mention the environmental impact of printing paper. 

    We’ve endeavoured to make it as easy as possible for you to register online, and are open to feedback and suggestions to make registration even easier or faster.
